Hanging & Care Guide

How to Safely Open Your Artisan Fan
Please Open with Care: To protect the traditional artisan rice paper and bamboo frame from damage, do not pull both ends straight apart horizontally. Follow these simple steps instead:
  1. Face the Artwork: Hold the closed fan vertically with both hands, making sure the hand-painted picture surface is facing directly toward your face.
  2. Hold the Left Steady: Keep your left hand completely still to act as a secure anchor for the left side of the fan.
  3. Push Forward to Open: Use your right hand to gently push the rightmost bamboo stick forward to expand it.

  4. Guide it Smoothly: Let the bamboo slats slide safely past each other at an angle in a gentle curve until the fan is fully opened to its 45-inch width.
  • Note for Left-Handed Friends: Even if you are left-handed, please make sure to hold the left side still and use your right hand to push the right stick forward. Opening it from the left side can cause the bamboo slats to bind and permanently tear or damage the paper.
Effortless & Secure Hanging Instructions
Because our fans are uniquely ultra-lightweight (weighing only 12.9 oz), displaying your new statement artwork is incredibly fast, simple, and require no heavy hardware or power tools.
  1. Locate the Loop: Once your fan is fully opened to its 45-inch display width, look at the back of the central bamboo frame to find our integrated hanging loop.
  2. Our Quality Knot: When these fans arrive from the artisan workshop, the backing strings are unknotted. Because standard knots easily slide loose on this material, we personally hand-tie and test every single knot before shipping. Our custom-engineered knot ensures the loop holds perfectly tight and will never slip loose under the fan's weight.

  3. Choose Your Mounting Method: Simply hang our secure loop directly onto either:
    • A single, small standard wall nail or picture hanger.
    • A damage-free adhesive hook (such as a Command hook), making this premium statement art completely renter-friendly and easy to install without drilling holes.
